Eyes on ICE: Document and Record
On Saturday, federal agents horrifically shot and killed 37-year-old Alex Pretti, an ICU nurse who cared for veterans, in the Eat Street neighborhood of south Minneapolis after brutally beating him in front of witnesses.

Ice out for good Tyler
Join Hispanos y Chicanos Unidos at a protest this Sunday in Tyler as we stand with our brothers and sisters in Minneapolis and Portland.
Wednesday, January 7th, an American citizen was killed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This killing is part of a broader pattern of unchecked violence, impunity, and abuse carried out by federal immigration enforcement agencies against members of our communities.
A broad coalition of groups across the country is calling for a coordinated Ice Out For Good Weekend of Action on Saturday, January 10th and Sunday, January 11th to demand accountability, honor the life lost, and make visible the human cost of ICE’s actions.
A core principle behind all ICE Out For Good events is a commitment to nonviolent action and no civil disobedience. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values, and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events. All events should be held in public spaces or on public property.
Rapid Response Call: ICE Killing and Lawlessness in Minneapolis
Join us Thursday, January 8th, at 8:00 pm ET / 5:00 pm PT to discuss the killing by ICE in Minneapolis and their lawlessness and harm in communities across the country.
We will talk with local and national leaders and provide concrete next steps on how you can take action.

Fiesta Navidena
Hi Indivisible Happy Hour attendees!
In lieu of our regular 2nd Sunday Happy Hour this month, we are joining our Hispanic friends and neighbors for a Holiday Fiesta on December 21st.Apologies for the late notice! So instead of meeting this Sunday, December 14th at True Vine, we will be celebrating Sunday, December 21st at Eagle's Event Center in Tyler. There will be food and entertainment and a Toy Drive.
Please bring a new, wrapped toy with a tag indicating the age attached to the gift.
Along with the toy drive, this holiday season, Indivisible Smith County is supporting our fellow community members experiencing food shortages. To help out, please bring your donations of shelf stable items like: canned vegetables and soups, boxed goods, Cake Mix and Icing, Chicken Broth, peanut butter, and jelly. We will also be able to provide a way for you to make a monetary donation if you prefer.WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
ADA accessible.
Let's Talk About the Holidays!
Open Table Faith has invited some wise friends to share learning and lived experience that can help us have mentally healthier holidays.
We'll cover things that often hang us up when it comes to big days and large family gatherings -- like the pull of nostalgia & the weight of expectation; the clash of differing political positions and evolving belief systems. We'll offer some brain science that helps us better understand ourselves -- and the chance to practice a different way of dealing.
It's all real talk for real-life relationships! ...It's also an hour to gather and breathe deep, to share hopes and set our best intentions.
This is a free event. Find us on the First Christian Church campus, in the Life Center building. Enter through the smaller, south-side doors, where you'll see the Open Table Faith banner.
