Cuando Se Quiere, Se Puede: An Informational On How To Support Undocumented Students in Texas

Since the repeal of the Texas Dream Act back in June 2025, undocumented students in the state have been left to grapple with massive tuition bills, the revoke of scholarships, and withdrawing from college either temporarily - or permanently.

A year later, there are still questions left unclear. This informational aims to inform our students and community at-large on ongoing litigation updates of the Texas Dream Act, how universities/colleges enforce the law, the effects of the repeal, and how all of US can contribute to supporting our students to reach their career goals and dreams.

Joining us will be Briana Ruiz, a College Advisor from the Dallas-Forth Worth Metroplex for a Q&A segment.

Cuando Se Quiere, Se Puede is a Spanish proverb that translates to "Where there is a will, there is a way." In reference to the determination, bravery, and persistence our undocumented students demonstrate in spite of institutional barriers.
